A glued notepad holds sheets together along one edge with adhesive, allowing each sheet to be removed for taking notes or handing over documents. It is commonly used in offices, clinics, shops and events that need everyday sheets with discreet corporate branding.
When ordering glued notepads, distinguish between the number of sheets in each pad, the number of pads and the finished size. Fifty pads of 100 sheets are not the same order as 100 pads of 50 sheets.
What is a glued notepad?
It is a stack of sheets joined with adhesive along one edge, normally with a backing board when the specification requires one. The sheets can be removed more easily than from a permanently bound product.
A4, A5 and custom sizes
A4 measures 210 × 297 mm and A5 measures 148 × 210 mm. Other sizes can be adapted to counters, folders or specific forms. The format should provide enough room to write and retain the document.
Choosing the paper and weight
Uncoated paper is often suitable for writing. Check its opacity and compatibility with pens, markers or pencils. Paper weight alone does not determine stiffness or feel.
Sheet count and backing board
The number of sheets affects the pad thickness and paper consumption. A backing board makes the pad easier to use without a desk, but its rigidity depends on the chosen material.
Customising the sheets
Each sheet can include a logo, lines, checkboxes, contact details or a working template. Avoid overly dark backgrounds and retain sufficient blank writing space.
How to prepare the artwork and order
- Select the finished size.
- State the sheets per pad and number of pads.
- Define the paper, ink colours and backing.
- Confirm which edge will be glued.
- Add bleed when backgrounds reach the edge.
- Review one printed sheet at actual size.
