An A3 mini roll-up banner is a compact retractable display designed for counters, reception desks and presentation tables. Its printed graphic retracts into a base in much the same way as a full-size roll-up.
A3 describes the image format, but the finished graphic may require extra material to attach it to the mechanism. Printing a standard A3 sheet without checking the hardware can leave the panel too short.
A3 reference size: 297 × 420 mm. Ask for the hardware template because the visible area and attachment allowance can vary.
How an A3 mini roll-up works
The mechanism pulls a graphic out of a compact base and holds it upright with a short support pole. Stability, materials and the ease of replacing the graphic differ between models.
Visible size versus production size
A3 measures 297 × 420 mm, but the lower section may remain hidden inside the base. Some systems need an extension to secure the panel. The manufacturer’s specification determines the final artwork size.
Which material should be used?
The substrate must roll without becoming permanently distorted and must be compatible with the mechanism. Stiff card may not work, while a film that is too light can curl. Also consider glare and maintenance if the display will sit in a brightly lit reception area.

- Review the assembled display, not only the file on screen.
